Marsdiep
The Dutch part of the Wadden Sea is located between the Marsdiep near Den Helder and the Dollard in Groningen. From Den Helder you can come face to face with the enchanting Wadden Sea in just a few steps: the UNESCO World Heritage Site The Wadden Sea. Seals have a great time here, birds find ultimate peace and quiet and fish such as plaice, sole, herring and sprat use this nature reserve as a nursery. It is the largest Wadden and coastal island system in the world with a temperate climate and an enormous variety of plants and animals.
